MCM: Munich Heritage, Global Vision

MCM (Michael Cromer Munich) was founded in Munich, Germany in 1976 by Michael Cromer, building a reputation through the 1980s for its distinctive monogrammed leather goods.

After a period of decline, the brand was acquired in 2005 by South Korea's Sungjoo Group, which repositioned MCM as a globally-minded luxury house blending its German heritage with a bold, contemporary East-meets-West aesthetic.

The Visetos Monogram

MCM's signature is the Visetos canvas -- a repeating logo pattern that has appeared across the brand's bags, wallets and backpacks since its earliest years and remains instantly recognisable as the house's core design language.
